Well im bored and was reading through the rants on craigslist and stumbled upon someone talking about urban warfare training that happened in New orleans. Dropping fake bombs, low flying helicopter, and military presence. They posted a bunch of links to random sites also, but linked back to a previous rant on the Las Vegas craigslist talking about it. So a quick search of youtube came up with a news clip from such thing. Pretty scary if you ask me. Why would the military need to know how to invade american cities, or atleast cities with the same setup and population as american cities. anyways here are some links. I suck at posting stuff so any mods feel free to fancy them up to your liking.

Black Helicopters

I hope this is all some elaborate joke. Im only 45 minutes away from new orleans.

While it does seem a little odd and kinda scary, the military does a lot of that sort of training. When I was with the 101st we did a ton of MOUT (military operations on urbanized terrain) training. The modern battlefield is changed from trenches and bunkers to streets and buildings.

Did you ever do that training in a populated urban environment? My initial thought are to see how the people react. I'm so on edge anymore, if this were to happen in my area, I would be armed and ready to go. This is a real bad idea if it is actually going on as described.

yea, new orleans isnt vacant like the media likes to portray now and again. Even the parts totally destroyed from huricane katrina maynot have the amount of people back in them as before but there are houses, and people living everywhere there used to be. I just dotn see this as a good thing doing in a populated city

yea i need to do a little more research and see if i can find any information in the local papers about it. It just really caught me off guard. Ive grown used to helicopters over the last few years due to hurricanes and all the people it brought in. I live a few miles off the inner state and it seems they somewhat follow it to new orleans. But i few weeks back i do recall seeing a few extra ones overhead. No matter what its creepy
