Ford Motor is in talks to sell its Volvo car business to its China partner Changan Automobile Group, the National Business Daily reported on Tuesday, citing an unnamed source at the Chinese company.

All I can say is at least Ford is doing something about their financial issues. Dumping the companies they have in the PAG, foreign holdings and others is a first step. I honestly do not think that the Volvo owners will cry about the fact that they are no longer owned by ford. This may actually help out their bottom line more than they expected and increase the stock value over time.

Hey GM tried to unload Hummer, its not there fault that no other company is stupid enough to buy the name to that crap.

Actually, this isn't the first one of their companies that they've sold off. Ford sold Jag and Land Rover to Tata back at the beginning of the year. Funny thing about that deal was the fact that they sold both companies for less than they originally bought them for. If I remember correctly it was for less than $3Billion.
