Why don't they seriously consider massive reform of our taxation system? A massively simplified income tax system with a 20% maximum marginal tax rate, a 4-6% no-deductions flat tax or the FairTax consumption tax system would do gigantic wonders for our economy, if only to cut down or remove that totally ridiculous US$350 BILLION (and rising in subsequent years!) cost of tax compliance nowadays!
