So while we all sat around and waited for the avian flu to become a issue H1N1 (swine flu) crept up and we find ourselves at a Level 5 warning.
So what happens when we get to level 6?
Do we shut down?
Suspend public gatherings?
Hope that people simply segregate themselves away so the epidemic burns itself out?
If we shut crap down for 7 - 14 days we are only screwing ourselves even further. Mass industries close down. Heck, we have school districts closing down around here through May 8th. When are they going to shut down the businesses next? What happens when people are unable to work, have no income, and fall behind on their bills? Do you think the banks and other companies will be patient and understanding about not receiving their money?
Financially, it could become a living nightmare for those that do not have a rainy day fund or for that matter 6 months of resources( funds and food and crap) to live off of.
What is worse and what I am finding hard to swallow is that when the regular seasonal flu kills over 30 thousand people in the US alone I don't see the WHO pushing any pandemic around and neither the government pushing the dangerous anti viral tamiflu.
This reeks like agenda and the masses are all falling for it.
Something is not right with all the measurements and bills going on since this so call swine flu has been made into a media circus.

it seems weird to me. Even the media folks seem odd about talking about it. Its nothing in particular, but the crap i catch on the news about it seems strange. I never get any actually information on it, just lots of "swine flu, mexico, pandemic". But nothing that actually keeps me safe or informed.
No matter how bad it gets it wont get portrayed that way on the news. What little panic that has already started is causing problems with the markets. Half the world will have to be dead before the government speaks a word of it

maybe a massive death toll is a good thing? Back in the early 1900s we had the flu pandemic that killed close to 40 million people world wide.
Now base the past population numbers and the death toll then use that percentage with todays numbers. I think we could see a nice thinning of the herd and help out greatly with the ills of society, such as global warming. lol

Economically speaking this could turn out to be not such a bad thing.
