The U.S. government is pouring billions into General Motors in hopes of reviving the domestic economy, but when the automaker completes its restructuring plan, many of the company's new jobs will be filled by workers overseas. According to an outline the company has been sharing privately with Washington legislators, the number of cars that GM sells in the United States and builds in Mexico, China and South Korea will roughly double.

The U.S. government loaned GM $15.4 billion of tax payer money to try to revive the domestic economy and save American jobs. Instead of using the money to create jobs in the US they are taking the money and using it to expand overseas operations. While they are shutting down production here they are ramping up production in other countries.

How can this be acceptable? American tax payer money should not be used to create jobs in Mexico, South Korea and China.

Even after all this there is no guarantee that GM will not go bankrupt like Chrysler and the $15.4B loan will not be paid back. The fleecing of America continues.

I think we should shut them down. I know I wont buy any new gm vehicles ever again. I'm only going to buy from private sources and not new, too hard for me to work on. I use to be a chevy guy, and on the classics I still am, but the only way I can vote no to GM is buy not supporting them. I even lead my mom away from GM and she traded in her 2006 trailblazer SS for a new mazda3. My family has bought GM for years, not anymore.

This is unthinkable. How in the hell is ANYONE ok with this. IF they want to ramp up production in other countries we need to wash our hands of this company and let the rest of the world plays idiot bankers to them. My money being funneled into this sinking ship is not getting me a new job, not getting me a new car/truck, and now not getting anyone else in amerika anthing usefull excet a few less dollars from there taxes going to help out our country.
