Welcome to the BHO agenda!

Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

The entire "Urban Policy."

Here ya go! Why is everyone buying up ammuniton, mags, and AR15's like crazy?? How about a published policy that threatens our 2nd ammendment rights. If there ever was a question about this, it's no longer a matter of if, but when. We NEED to fight for our rights. No more sitting back and waiting to see what happens. Write to your congressmen both federal and state.

Childproof eh. Sounds like that means "unable to be used quickly in the event of a Home Invasion" personally. Teach your rugrats how to respect and then USE the damn things... That will fix the issue.

Agreed...i grew up with guns on the walls in our house and knew how to use them but more importantly, not to screw with them. However, i dont think that BHO is talking about locking them up...i think he will mandate that all guns have some unavailable safety feature such as a figerprint recognition system or something to that effect. End result...this technology isnt available and tadaaah, a defacto gun ban is born.

The bill also makes it a crime for a dealer to have shoddy records or fail to appropriately cooperate with any inspectors. It makes failure to report the loss or theft of a firearm within 72 hours a felony punishable by up to 2 years in prison. Failure to keep a firearm locked up in such a way as to keep it inaccessible to anyone under 18 becomes a federal felony too.
There's more, but it's just more nonsense and I'm getting a headache. You can read the bill by clicking here then entering "HR 45" in the search box, click "Bill Number" and hit "Search."

does anyone realize i could kill someone with a sharpened stick. Does that mean trees should be cut down. No it doesnt. I dont understand the mentality of people who are so terrified of gun owners. Its amazing how they find gun owners easy targets for rediculous bills. When i sit at home and think about all the things that worry me, guns do not come to mind for me. Drugs, extremeist religious groups, people beating and raping children, yep none of those seems more important to these idiots. I just hope i can get my hands on an ar15 very soon.

Good point, I always like to use automobiles as an example. There are infinitely more deaths caused by car accidents/vehicular homicide than guns. Yet you never hear anyone(well accept hippies) say "ban cars, cars kill so many innocent people." Reason being, the people who call for gun bans want to keep THEIR cars, THEY never killed anyone with THEIR car so how could it be fair to ban cars. I want to keep MY guns, I have never killed anyone with MY guns yet it is perfectly acceptable to ban all gun ownership. Oh and a little more food for thought...driving is a privilege and guns are a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT. So it is more acceptable to ban a right than it is a privilege?????

Sadly enough, I almost find that to be a comfortable alternative to what I think his motives are. I already have a 600 pound gunsafe and a bed side locker for my guns...the bedside thing is really easy to use and the only way you could open it with out the combo is a plasma cutter. My home defense gun is readily accessable and safe enough that my little boy cant get it. The real reason for my gun safes is so no f'n thug breaks into my home, steals my stuff and commits a crime with it and lands my ass in jail...gotta love our (in)justice system.

The difference is intent. If you see a bunch of gangsters walking down the street with tree branches, you don't run the other way.

There's also a fear factor that is unreasonable, but exists nonetheless. If you see a lady driving down the street in a car, you don't scream and call the police. But if you run down the street with an AR, you're likely to cause a riot. Nevermind that having a gun is a constitutional right, and driving is not...
